Preliminary experimental results of a facility to test hysteresis rod parameters: effect of the magnetic field of a permanent magnet.
In this work preliminary results obtained carrying out tests in laboratory on two different hysteresis rods using a facility opportunely developed and built are presented. In the first part results obtained on a rod are discussed to complete and to compare previous results obtained on the other rod and already discussed in the previous preprint. Afterwards, a theoretical analysis to evaluate effect of a permanent dipole on the properties of the hysteresis rods is presented and preliminary results obtained on the hysteresis rods to evaluate this effect are shown and discussed. Preliminary results showed that facility developed can be utilized to evaluate the minimum necessary distance between permanent dipole and rods to avoid a lost of efficiency of the rod when these elements are arranged on board of a small satellite.
